Hi Jo-N, that looks interesting and I have always wanted to learn Mandarin.
Here in Toronto, I have picked up some simple Greek, Albanian, Spanish, Portuguese, Japanese and Mandarin from the many International friends here...but its fun greeting and saying a few words of their language.
But in view of the influx of Chinese from China, and the many big Chinese malls, supermarkets, it will be useful to know Mandarin words.
Have a nice weekend, Lee.

Sandy, Aisha, Lilli & Nevada,

Thanks for supporting my very first WW. Hope to hear from you again.

Trin,

My friend who did not know Chinese put lots of effort to listen to the CD and learn the pronunciation and teach her children. I salute her!!!

Lee,

Yup, it's always useful to learn another language and wow, you picked up so many languages!! That's great!

i didn't learn any mandarin growing up but lucky living in sg for almost 20 years forced me to pick it up. can speak but can't read and write. my girls learn it in school and i get a private tutor for her.
